Your Phone + Productivity
Dear Uncommon Leaders,ย
Hope you all had a great weekend and are ready for a productive week ahead! Challenge yourselves this week! ๐
Your Sunday Nugget
This Week's Question:
Is your phone increasing your productivity and influence or decreasing it?
This Week's Challenge:ย
A great tool is valuable when used effectively. I have realized that my phone is a great tool but, itโs also a magnet for wasting time.
Recently, I stayed in a Marriott and noticed over the course of my stay that many staff members were scrolling, staring at or talking on their phones in the midst of their work. I saw a ton of wasted time and lackadaisical approaches to work.
These devices can and should help us learn and grow, stay organizedand communicate. To improve our leadership and effectiveness however, we also need to be aware of the drain they can create on our productivity. My phone is a constant temptation pulling me towards wasting my precious time. I have to fight against its constant call!
Your challenge this week is to make your phone work to improve your effectiveness and influence as a leader and resist its shallow offering of killing some time.
Have a great week!
This Week's Quote to Ponder:
โLife is what happens when your cell phone is charging.โ ๐
