This Week's Question:
On a scale from 1 to 10, how would you rate your mental resilience?
This Week's Challenge:
Every year, I challenge myself by participating in a 140 mile Ironman triathlon challenge, not only to enhance my physical prowess but also to fortify my mental resilience. It’s a year-long commitment to training, culminating in a race that tests the limits of human endurance.
Physical benefits of this rigorous training are evident in my improved stamina and strength. However, the most profound growth has occurred within my mind. The lessons learned have become invaluable, influencing both my personal life and business endeavors. Here are 3 of them:
1. I have learned to welcome discomfort. Discomfort is part of our life journey. We need to embrace it if we want to grow. Without discomfort, there can be no progress.
2. I improve my resilience in the face of adversity. Bad things happen in life to all of us. We need to learn to bounce back from life's inevitable setbacks.
3. I minimize distractions from my life. By eliminating distractions, I ensure that my priorities align with my most significant aspirations.
This week I challenge you to think about your own mental resilience. How can you train yourself to grow in this area? Stretch yourself this week!
