Intentional Disruptions
Dear Uncommon Leaders,
As you head into a new week, find ways to raise the bar. Be uncommon, Leaders!
Your Sunday Nugget
This Week's Question:
What might need some intentional disruption in your life or at work?
This Week's Challenge:
Usually when we use the word disruption, it’s in a negative context, but sometimes it’s required to raise the bar. Intentional disruption can be used when we have stagnated or slipped in some area. It might be the org structure that no longer serves us as it used to. It could be simple disruption of our routines, systems and processes to see if we can improve outcomes. In extreme situations, it may even be disrupting where we live and who we hang out with.
Your challenge this week is to ask yourself, “What needs intentional disruption in my life or workplace that can help me achieve greater results?”
A word of caution- don't disrupt just to disrupt; make sure you are clear on the outcome you are pursuing and help those around you understand why you are pursuing this strategy. You may even need their help! I hope you have a week of breakthrough!
This Week's Quote to Ponder:
“Learning and innovation go hand in hand. The arrogance of success is to think that what you did yesterday will be sufficient for tomorrow.” William Pollard
Until next week,
