Are You Anxious?
Dear Uncommon Leaders,
I hope these Sunday Nuggets have been helpful to you and that these small weekly challenges move your leadership forward in a healthy way.
Here's to a new week ahead. Let's make it productive and make it uncommon!
Your Sunday Nugget
This Week's Question:
Is there something you can name or label that is causing anxiety in your life right now?
This Week's Challenge:
During my coaching calls and in-person meetings with leaders, anxiety comes up quite a bit. The causes of the anxieties vary but one thing is consistent, anxiety limits us from being at our best. While we can’t fully escape anxiety, especially in roles of such high expectation, we can work to deal with it when it arises.
This simple truth has helped me during periods of anxiety: action reduces anxiety. If I am anxious over my finances, sitting down and preparing a budget will likely help me feel a bit better and begin a path forward. If I’m anxious about working with someone I struggle to connect with, sending them an encouraging text or reaching out in a healthy way might help establish a better connection.
Your challenge this week is to identify something or someone that is causing you anxiety and take some small action that can move you towards a better place.
This Week's Quote to Ponder:
“Action reduces anxiety.”
Until next week,
LET'S GO BE UNCOMMON!
